MAKE YOUR OWN BIOSHOCK INFINITE GONDOLA PASS (AND MAKE DAT SHIT OLD LOOKING~!

You can’t really tell how aged it looks in the photos. In the top one, the little paper behind the pass is white printer paper and the pass is there for comparison.

YOU WILL NEED:

- a printer (and ink duh)
- paper (cardstock or regular. I used cardstock)
- a shallow pan, bowl, or dish
- the file to print (located here. It’s 504x288 and prints to 7x4 inches)
- coffee or tea or cocoa powder
- a pen (optional)
- a hole punch (optional)
- scissors

1. PRINT THIS SUCKER OFF & LET IT DRY & CUT IT DOWN
I printed it using cardstock because it’s sturdier. However, I’ve used regular paper for other stuff and it worked fine too, just be careful because it gets more fragile. Dry it using something ultra high tech… like waving it back and forth in the air, blowing on it, using a fan or a blow dryer on a low setting. Or just let it sit out for a while. I then cut it down, leaving white space around the edges because I thought it looked better. But do whatever you want!

Make sure to let it dry for a while because I was impatient and that made a lot of my red ink bleed or become faded.

2. GET SOMETHING TO PUT IT IN
I just grabbed a small brownie pan cause it’s not that big. You want the paper to be able to comfortably sit in the pan without being bent or folded.

3. ADD SOME WATER TO THE DISH.
Temperature of the water shouldn’t matter. I used cold because my tea is cold-brew… haha. I felt like it might make the tea come out better but what the heck do I know? :P

4. GRAB YOUR TEA/COFFEE/COCOA POWDER.
Cut the tea bag open and dump it into the water. Take some coffee and throw that in there. I then was curious about what would happen if I used cocoa powder, too… it just makes it darker and smell like chocolate. No exact amounts or anything… just wing it. The more tea/coffee/cocoa you use, the darker your antique~ paper is gonna look.

5. LET THAT SHIT SOAK.
Again, no exact time. If it’s getting soggy, take it out before it falls apart. I used regular paper to make some Harry Potter stuff and it didn’t ever dissolve on me even though I left it in there for 20 minutes. If you use normal paper it just gets fragile and prone to ripping, but doesn’t get destroyed by the water.

6. LET DAT SHIT DRY
I removed the paper and sat it on top of a towel I have. I’m sure you could let it dry on a hard surface, though, or anything really.

7. PUNCH SOME HOLES AND MAYBE SIGN IT
… or internally weep because you realized your mother threw away the small one-hole punch and you only have the three ring binder hole punch and it doesn’t work. :( Once I get a hole punch, I’ll make it July 1912 because.. haha. Jokes~ (Also the number of the ticket is the coordinates of Rapture from the first game! IN JOKES HAHA)

Then on the “Ticketholder” line, sign a name. Your name, a character’s name, your friend’s name… whatever. Whoever.

8. ENJOY~!
The pass should be a little crinkly from the air drying (it’ll be less crinkly if you use a firmer paper like cardstock) and it should look old. Mine isn’t that dark because I was impatient, but the longer you leave it in the water to soak and the more tea/coffee/cocoa you use, the darker it should be.

Redditor SquishyMcPhee recently made an awesome discovery while visiting his car dealership in Norman, Oklahoma for an oil change. He found a styrofoam cup left behind by another customer who had covered the entire cup, inside and out, with intricate ballpoint pen doodles. Look closely and you might recognize Dilbert, one of The Smurfs, Beetle Bailey, and the entire Simpsons family.

There are also a couple messages inscribed on the outer ad inner rim of the cup:

On the outside rim of the cup, it reads: “Each of us has choices to make each day. What you choose determines your future and the person you become.” On the inner rim: “If you look deep within a piece of art you will find a piece of its creator.” And, on the bottom, inside the cup: “Smile - It’s easy ‘N’ it’s free”

SquishyMcPhee immediately set about trying to learn the identity of the artist responsible for this amazing cup. Eventually his efforts paid off and he is now trying to persuade the artist, identified only as “Mister Hershey”, to agree to a Q&A session on Reddit:

“Come to find out he’s done OVER A THOUSAND OF THESE CUPS IN THE PAST 5 YEARS… Some of the others he’s done put this one to shame. This guy’s a freaking Master…”

For now we a description provided by the cashier at the car dealership:

…SquishyMcPhee was able to learn a bit about him from the cashier who described him as a young man that had come in to get work done on his car. The job would take about three hours and so the anonymous artist resolved to doodle on a nearby coffee cup. Astonished by the skilled handiwork, especially taken aback by the impressive amount of detail administered inside the cup, the Redditor questioned the cashier further and says, “She said that he didn’t even seem that intent on it, just had his feet up most of the time. He’d doodle, pitch it down and go get a drink, doodle some more, walk around the showroom for a while…”

It’s clear that Mister Hershey has a gift for killing time. We hope we get to see more of his decorated cups soon.

Lord Libidan posted this cross stitch project he recently finished over at Sprite Stitch. It’s an impressive recreation of a Gen 1 Pokedex from Pokemon!
